Last Thursday saw the installation of the ‘Park Your Yarn’ commission in St Peter’s Gardens, Wolverhampton, by ArtYarn (crocheted doily spheres) and Stiches & Hos (knitted sleeves for park benches).

Wolverhampton Art Gallery
To thank all the lovely knitters (you know who you are!) who toook part in the Park Your Yarn commission, join us for a Knit and Natter and celebrate Wolverhampton’s first ‘official’ yarnbomb.
Tea and cake provided.
Please bring along your needles and hooks to join in with the event.
It’s very nearly time to install the project, I can’t believe how quickly time has passed by!
So I’m crocheting like I have never done before to get the last bits of crochet work done in time for this Thursday’s big sew up.
If you would like to come and see us installing the work, or even lend a hand sewing up, you are most welcome to join us, the more the merrier.
We’ll be around most of the day, so come and find us in St Peter’s Gardens this Thursday.
Trying it on for size- I’ve built a life size model of one of the sphere’s from St Peter’s Garden (its not the greatest construction I have ever made!! but it does the job), and I’ve started to sew together some of the crochet pieces I have been making over the past month.
